ABOUT THIS BOOK Ursula, Gareth and Alice have never met before. Ursula thinks she killed the love of her life. Gareth’s been receiving strange postcards. And Alice is being stalked. None of them are used to relying on others – but when the three strangers’ lives unexpectedly collide, there’s only one thing for it: they have to stick together. Otherwise, one of them will die. Three strangers, two secrets, one terrifying evening. MY REVIEW Absolutely brilliant from start to finish, STRANGERS by C.L. Taylor is my favourite book from this author so far. Three strangers who have their own lives and problems find themselves joined together under very strange and disturbing circumstances. Ursula's life altered forever a long time ago when a tragedy changed her irrevocably. Now she is renting a room in a stranger's house, delivering packages for a living, and doing the odd spot of kleptomania to help keep her sane. Alice is finally ready to find love again but blind dates are definitely not what they are cracked up to be. When she meets Simon things finally appear to be looking up but someone desperately wants her to stay away from him. And then there is Gareth who is struggling to care for his mother who has dementia and has to solve the puzzle of postcards from his father who disappeared years ago, all while keeping his job and stopping a certain religious man from stealing his mother's money. Three completely separate people who will need to stick together to make sure that they all survive. The plot of this story is simply superb and I don't want to say too much but trust me, this is a must-read. The three main characters are well developed and likeable in their own ways so I really cared about them throughout and desperately wanted to figure out what was going on, for their sakes as well as my own. The tension is perfectly pitched and there is never a dull moment in STRANGERS by C. L. Taylor and I cannot wait for Cally's next masterpiece. An excellent story by an excellent author.
