But can she really rescue Cole when West Cove always seems to pull him back in? Cole is my favourite character in this novel - a perfectly crafted imperfect character. Here we find an emotional, honest, caring, and protective man who wants to change his life and be happy, but feels loyalty to those who helped him along the way, and my heart broke for him as he tried to balance those two sides of him. While there are plenty of dangerous encounters and troubling secrets unearthed along the way, it is the tender moments of honesty and love that happen between Cole and Sydney that stand out in my mind. THE FALLING KIND by Randileigh Kennedy is the perfect contemporary romance and I cannot wait to read more from this author!
