ABOUT THIS BOOK Three women. Three dates. One missing man... 8.52 a.m. Siobhan is looking forward to her breakfast date with Joseph. She was surprised when he suggested it - she normally sees him late at night in her hotel room. Breakfast on Valentine's Day surely means something ... so where is he? 2.43 p.m. Miranda's hoping that a Valentine's Day lunch with Carter will be the perfect way to celebrate her new job. It's a fresh start and a sign that her life is falling into place: she's been dating Carter for five months now and things are getting serious. But why hasn't he shown up? 6.30 p.m. Joseph Carter agreed to be Jane's fake boyfriend at an engagement party. They've not known each other long but their friendship is fast becoming the brightest part of her new life in Winchester. Joseph promised to save Jane tonight. But he's not here... Meet Joseph Carter. That is, if you can find him. MY REVIEW Three strong, intelligent, and very different women have dates on Valentine's Day but nothing prepares them for being stood up. They all thought that their guy was different and they want answers. But what if their guy is the same guy? As each of these women starts to learn more about the man that they have started to fall for, there will be twists and turns, and some shocking revelations that will bubble to the surface as the truth is finally revealed. I expected THE NO-SHOW by Beth O'Leary to be a light-hearted and humorous tale of the modern world of dating (and it has many moments of this) but I was not prepared for the depth of emotion that I would feel for these characters as all of their stories began to unfold, and the pieces of the puzzle that is Joseph Carter started to come together and make sense. I don't want to give too much away but so much of this book was unexpected in the best possible way, and I promise you that you will not regret reading this story. At a time when I have really been struggling to get lost in a book again, THE NO-SHOW by Beth O'Leary made it effortless and I was hooked after one page, so thank you, Beth! AUTHOR BIO Beth O'Leary is a Sunday Times bestselling author whose novels have been translated into more than thirty languages. Her debut, The Flatshare, sold over a million copies and changed her life completely. Her second novel, The Switch, has been optioned for film by Amblin Partners, Steven Spielberg's production company. The Road Trip, Beth's third novel, went straight to No.4 in the Sunday Times Top Ten on hardback publication. Beth writes her books in the Hampshire countryside with a very badly behaved Golden Retriever for company. If she's not at her desk, you'll usually find her curled up somewhere with a book, a cup of tea and several woolly jumpers (whatever the weather).
