ABOUT THIS BOOK Struggling to find the perfect Christmas gift? Step into Romantic Daze … Daisy Kirk is a sucker for a love story, which is why she opened up her gift shop – because there’s nothing that makes Daisy happier than when she’s helped a customer achieve their own ‘happily ever after’ by finding the perfect Christmas gift for their loved one. And she absolutely does not just sell ‘soppy presents and frilly pants’ as her brother’s infuriating best friend, Eli, is so fond of suggesting. The sad fact is that whilst Daisy is helping others with their love lives, hers is non-existent. But when unusual circumstances take Daisy and Eli on a road trip from London to rural Wales, will she finally get the happily ever after to her own Christmas love story? MY REVIEW The old saying, 'Never judge a book by its cover', has never been truer than for DAISY'S CHRISTMAS GIFT SHOP by Hannah Pearl which has action, adventure, and a hint of danger, as well as love, family, and the real meaning of friendship. Daisy Kirk believes in true, everlasting love, and she has seen it with her own eyes between her parents, even if her Dad lost his spark when their mother died all those years ago. She knows that real love exists and she sees it every day in her clients who come to her special shop to find that something extra-special for their loved ones, even though she struggles with her own love-life. Well, if Daisy was honest, she fell in love years ago with her brother's best friend, Eli, who managed to break her heart. And if she was brutally honest with herself, Daisy would admit that she is still in love with Eli for the kindness he shows her family and the love he has for them all, even if they cannot stop snapping at each other in temper. But when her brother goes missing and could possibly be in danger, Daisy and Eli will join forces, with some extra special help from Daisy's bestie and a possible admirer, and do whatever they must to find him. But the more time they spend together, the more heat flares to life between them. But can Daisy ever find the love she deserves with someone who doesn't believe in happily-ever-after? This book contained so many surprises that I found myself racing through it because I just had to know what was going to happen, and DAISY'S CHRISTMAS GIFT SHOP did not disappoint. I loved all of the characters, especially Daisy's open and honest best friend, and there was honestly never a dull moment. DAISY'S CHRISTMAS GIFT SHOP by Hannah Pearl is a cracking good story and I look forward to reading more from this author. AUTHOR BIO Hannah Pearl was born in East London. She is married with two children and now lives in Cambridge. She has previously worked as a Criminology researcher, as a Development Worker with various charities and even pulled a few pints in her time. Reading has allowed Hannah to escape from the reality of feeling ill. She read upwards of three hundred books during the first year of her illness. When her burgeoning eReader addiction grew to be too expensive, she decided to have a go at writing. In 2017 she won Simon and Schuster’s Books and the City #heatseeker short story competition, in partnership with Heat magazine, for her short story The Last Good Day.
