BLURB

When seventeen-year-old Addie Auctor’s mother is murdered by her father, she must confront many secrets that her family has hidden from her. The worst of these secrets is that Addie’s father, Donovan Hawthorne, is still hunting Addie because of an ancient blood feud between her mother’s family, the Auctors, and her father’s family, the House of Hawthorne. In order to be protected from the House of Hawthorne, Addie and her brother, Augustus, are sent to Initiation at an exclusive University, the Wicked Cabal.

Initiation is nothing like Addie expects. She is immediately separated from Augustus and thrown in with four complete strangers – Fallon, Maddox, Liam, and Tempe. Addie must try to forge friendships with her fellow Initiates while they solve clues, battle mystical creatures, and explore increasingly dangerous places.

Readers of all ages will love this adventure filled with suspense, treachery, and romance.

MY REVIEW

From the very first page I was instantly captivated by the secrecy and magic of THE AUCTOR TRILOGY by T.R. Wolf, and as the first chapter evolves, we are thrown into the heartbreaking action where secrets upon secrets start to unravel. Addie is a quiet, self-conscious teenager who loves her brother and mother deeply, as they are the only ones who understand her. But when her mother is murdered, her entire life is turned upside down in a second, as she is forced to run with her brother for safety. But nothing is quite as it seems, as Addie and Augustus are part of an ancient magical family in danger from a curse, and the only place they can possibly hide is at the University which will train them in sorcery. But to make it there, they must take part in Initiation which will test them, and their new friends in ways you cannot imagine. As Addie starts to stand on her two feet, find real relationships, and possibly fall in love, the powerful people in charge of their magical world have their own plans for Addie, and as danger starts to close in around them all, will they all survive?

The characters are compelling, engaging, and I really became so connected to them, and the emotions that flowed between them all. The magical elements, danger, and action are second to none, and I devoured this book from cover to cover. THE AUCTOR TRILOGY by T.R. Wolf is the first book in this series, but already I would sit it alongside the greats, such as Harry Potter, and it would translate beautifully onto our screens. I cannot wait for the next instalment!!!!!
