Her intention for the short visit is to make her apologies and offer an explanation for her action. A year earlier, she fled, leaving her bridegroom and friends bewildered. She’s met with mixed reactions, ranging from curiosity to open hostility. However, when an emergency arises, Carly agrees to change her plans and stay a little longer. Falling in love with the new local doctor, Ben Thornton, was not part of her original plan either. Especially when it appears his past is shrouded in mystery. Complications and tensions increase during the town’s New Year celebrations and she begins to doubt whether she has done the right thing by coming home. Can she find the resolution she needs to overcome the challenges facing her, or will she run away again? MY REVIEW RESOLUTIONS by Carol Warham is an emotional and engrossing story about love, hurt, and finding your inner strength. It is one year since Carly Mitchell ran away from the only home she had ever known without a word, leaving the small community that was more like family behind her. Now that she has become stronger and has a career opportunity to work abroad, Carly decides that it is the right time to return home and face the music and try to apologise and explain to everyone why she disappeared like that. As expected the atmosphere isn't exactly welcoming when word gets out that Carly is back, but when her help is needed, Carly cannot leave those she cares about in the lurch again, and her flying visit becomes a little longer than anticipated. But at least she can get to know the newcomer in town, Dr. Thornton, a little better. But with exes turning up out of the woodwork, and old wounds refusing to be healed, anger, revenge, and tension are rife with Carly at the centre of it all. And when those she loves are getting dragged into her mess, maybe it would be better if she ran away one more time... RESOLUTIONS by Carol Warham was so much more than a nice easy read as the characters are so well-developed, and the emotions are so rife that you cannot help but feel it all alongside Carly and the gang. As Carly tries to make amends for what happened and finds herself back in the role that she had worked so hard to escape from, I was screaming along for her to tap into her solid inner strength and not let that idiot destroy everything for her (you will know who I'm talking about when you read it!). And while this is all going on, Carly also has to figure out her feelings for the sexy Dr. Ben whose own baggage from the past literally lands on Carly's doorstep, and her former best friend who needs her more than ever. The setting is beautiful and this tight-knit community really comes alive on the page and makes you want to live there. RESOLUTIONS by Carol Warham is an endearing story that really captured my heart and I highly recommend it!! Author Bio: Carol lives in beautiful Yorkshire, with her husband and Sam the dog. 'Resolutions' is her first novel and is based in locations around her home. Writing has always been a part of her life, as a child she made up comics for dolls and friends. After leaving a college she became a journalist for a short time, and in more recent years has had some short stories, travel articles and poems published. When not writing she is involved with her two daughters, grandchildren and various organisations in the village where she lives.
