Sebastian, also known as The Demon of Vengeance, has been running around on a wild goose chase, trying to catch up with the Guardian of the missing Sword of Kathnesh. Along with his brothers, the other members of the Fallen, Sebastian is desperate to protect humankind from the destruction of their world, and with Mikhail being captured, he will do anything to save him. And if he can just get his hands on Professor MacKenzie, they will be one step closer to stopping evil from taking control. But when Sebastian finally catches up with Phoebe MacKenzie, nothing will ever be the same again. For in finding her, he has found his mate, the one he will die to protect. That is if this gorgeous, stubborn, intelligent woman will face up to who she is, and allow him into her heart.
Phoebe MacKenzie understands that she needs to protect the sword with her very life if she must, but first, she has to find it. Finding herself rescued by Vengeance, the most handsome demon she has ever laid eyes. Phoebe struggles with letting him in. Phoebe knows that she is different, even if she doesn't fully understand who or what she is. But when danger threatens Sebastian nothing will stop her from protecting what is hers. Throw in danger, unlikely alliances, evil beyond measure, and new friendships, and who knows where this story will end...
DEMON OF VENGEANCE by Brenda Huber is the fourth novel in The Chronicle of the Fallen series and yet again, gripped me from beginning to end. I completely fell in love with Sebastian as he struggled to protect his mate, while accepting that she needed to figure out her own self-worth and abilities. Phoebe is a wonderful character, very likeable and feisty - a perfect match for Vengeance. With plenty of explosive chemistry, dangerous missions, and surprising revelations, DEMON OF VENGEANCE by Brenda Huber continues this series with a bang! Exciting, fast-moving, and sizzling plot lines make this series absolutely compelling, and I highly recommend it to paranormal romance fans. This is how paranormal romance should be written!
