ABOUT THIS BOOK She’s sweet and wholesome. And hiding something. He’s back home, resurrecting old ghosts. One of them is going to get hurt. Molly arrives in Sutter’s Hollow out of gas and out of options. The rundown ranch seems like a perfect place to hide. Except the man who owns it seems just as dangerous as what’s chasing her. Cord’s mantra growing up? Get out of Sutter’s Hollow. Now he’s back in town, but only long enough to get rid of his grandma’s ball and chain—the ranch. He doesn’t need a complication like Molly, who reminds him of an injured baby bird. He’s no protector. So why can’t he tell her to get lost? MY REVIEW I didn't know what to expect when I picked up HIS SMALL-TOWN GIRL by Lacy Williams but this romance was everything I could have wanted and more. Cord has one goal when it comes to the ranch where his grandmother raised him - fix it up, sell it, and get out of Sutter's Hollow as quickly as possible. This place holds only bad memories and regrets and there is nothing for him here anymore. But when he meets Molly, a kind-hearted young woman who is obviously running from something or someone, he cannot help but want to help her. So he offers her a deal - if she helps him fix up the ranch, she can stay there for a little while - a deal that Molly is delighted to accept. This is the first place that she has felt safe in a long time and there is something about Cord that makes her trust him implicitly. She knows that he would never hurt her or come on to her. But as their friendship grows steadily both Molly and Cord cannot stop the flares of attraction that exists between them. But Cord is shut off to the world after what happened ten years ago, and Molly's worst nightmare and the reason she has been running is about to burst into her life and change everything forever ... A beautiful story with sweet and loveable characters, HIS SMALL-TOWN GIRL by Lacy Williams is a wonderful first instalment in this new romance series, and I look forward to reading the next book. The setting works really well and I loved watching Cord open himself up again to his past and those who always cared for him. Molly is a strong and determined character who doesn't realise her own strength and spirit, and I loved watching her and Cord develop their relationship. HIS SMALL-TOWN GIRL by Lacy Williams is a delightful romance that has something for everyone and I look forward to reading more from this author.
