ABOUT THE BOOK In pursuit of a Russian sleeper cell on American soil, a CIA analyst uncovers a dangerous secret that will test her loyalty to the agency—and to her family. What do you do when everything you trust might be a lie? Vivian Miller is a dedicated CIA counterintelligence analyst assigned to uncover the leaders of Russian sleeper cells in the United States. On track for a much-needed promotion, she’s developed a system for identifying Russian agents, seemingly normal people living in plain sight. After accessing the computer of a potential Russian operative, Vivian stumbles on a secret dossier of deep-cover agents within America’s borders. A few clicks later, everything that matters to her—her job, her husband, even her four children—are threatened. Vivian has vowed to defend her country against all enemies, foreign and domestic. But now she’s facing impossible choices. Torn between loyalty and betrayal, allegiance and treason, love and suspicion, who can she trust? MY REVIEW MIND. BLOWN. Sucked in from the start, this superb tale of lies, secrets, betrayals, and espionage, will grip you like no other story has done before, and take you on the tensest ride of your life. Vivian Miller has it all - a fulfilling job as a CIA analyst, four kids that she adores, and a husband that is just too good to be true. But when she uncovers a file during her search for Russian spies living in the US, her entire world will change forever, and thus begins a slippery slope where Vivian desperately tries to balance her love and devotion for her family and her love and devotion for her country. But with so much resting on her shoulders who on earth can she trust?? NEED TO KNOW by Karen Cleveland is a stunning story with characters that are so detailed and relatable that you feel like you know them. Vivian is a strong character and as we get glimpses into her past, we see how she has come to this point in her life, and how much her family means to her. This novel keeps you guessing throughout and I must have changed my mind twenty times at different points but nothing prepared me for that ending - WOW!! Perfectly-paced, compelling, and dangerous NEED TO KNOW by Karen Cleveland is everything you want in a spy thriller and so much more, because it is about family and love, and how far you can ever really know anybody. An unbelievable 5 star read and currently topping my list for best books for 2018. Author Bio: Karen Cleveland spent eight years as a CIA analyst, the last six in counterterrorism. She has master’s degrees from Trinity College Dublin, where she studied as a Fulbright Scholar, and from Harvard University. She lives in northern Virginia with her husband and two young kids.
