ABOUT THIS BOOK Would you swap sea and sunshine for tinsel and turkey? Gabby Sanderson is used to being let down – even at Christmas. Which is why she’s happy to skip the festive season completely in favour of a plane ticket and sunnier climes. But this Christmas could be different, because this time she might not be spending it alone. Can Owen Cooper charm Gabby into loving Christmas in the same way he’s charmed his way into her life, or is he just another person who’ll end up disappointing her? MY REVIEW I have read Kathryn Freeman's work before and I always know that I am in for a great read but A LITTLE CHRISTMAS CHARM is far and away my favourite of her books so far. Engaging and loveable characters mixed with heart-pounding romance is a sure-fire recipe for a thoroughly mesmerising Christmas romance. Gabby Sanderson is smart, witty, capable, and determined. But she is also lonely and afraid of opening herself up to anyone. So when the sexiest and most charming man at work, Owen Cooper, shows an interest in getting to know her more personally, Gabby's natural reaction is to block him at every turn. After all, if her own mother never had time for her and disappointed her all the time, why would Owen be any different? But Owen is determined to show Gabby that trusting the right person is nothing to be scared of and as their tentative relationship soon turns into something all-consuming, will he be able to break down the walls surrounding Gabby's heart? Or will the past always find a way to come between them? While the setting is perfect in this book, it is the characters who really steal the show. Gabby is a such a strong character yet I could feel her fear of letting someone into her world, and I really felt for the little girl who was always left by those who should have nurtured her. Owen is suave and witty, but there is so much more to him than a pretty face, and it was a pure delight to get to know him and his family. A LITTLE CHRISTMAS CHARM by Kathryn Freeman has magic, romance, and plenty of misunderstandings to keep you hooked from start to finish, and I have to say it is topping my list for my favourite festive story for 2018. AUTHOR BIO I was born in Wallingford, England and have spent most of my life living in a village outside Windsor. A former pharmacist, former pharmaceutical industry employee I’m now a self-employed medical writer who also loves to write romance. Some days a racing heart is a medical condition, others it’s the reaction to a hunky hero… I’ve two teenage boys and a husband who asks every Valentine’s Day whether he has to bother buying a card again this year (yes, he does) so the romance in my life is all in my head. Then again, my husband’s unstinting support of my career change goes to prove that love isn't always about hearts and flowers - and heroes can come in many disguises For more information: Website - kathrynfreeman.co.uk Twitter - twitter.com/KathrynFreeman1 Facebook - www.facebook.com/kathrynfreeman/?ref=br_rs DON'T FORGET TO CHECK OUT ALL OF THE OTHER MAGICAL STOPS ALONG THE WAY!!
