Now living on her own in New York City, and running an event and concierge business with her two best friends, Paige and Eva, Frankie loves her independent life. Having lived through the horrific divorce of her parents and becoming the pariah of Puffin Island due to her mother's shameless actions after her father ran off, moving to New York had given her much-needed space all those years ago. Relationships don't work. There is no happily ever after. Love is an ideal that nobody can live up to. And Frankie will do whatever it takes to block any advances from men. Until Matt. Paige's brother and one of her closest friends has started to look at her differently and wants more than friendship. But is it worth taking the risk? And what will happen when he discovers the real Frankie? Matt Walker has loved Frankie for years. Understanding that she has issues with commitment because of her past, Matt is determined to take it slow and show Frankie that not all guys are bad and that they could have something special. But even though he has known Frankie most of her life, Matt soon realises that Frankie has so many layers that she has been hiding from everyone, even her two best friends. Convincing her to work alongside him on a project, Matt persuades her to return to Puffin Island for a visit and face her demons. But can you ever really leave your past around? And when old fears resurface will Matt and Frankie lose their shot at something real?
SUNSET IN CENTRAL PARK by Sarah Morgan is one of those novels that I didn't want to put down. With quirky characters and funny dialogue, this novel was a dream to read. I love Frankie and her prickly front, and as she started to let down her guard, we really got to know her fears and why she is the way she is. Matt is sweet and caring but has that protective, sexy edge when it comes to those he loves. The secondary characters in the book add so much dimension to the story and I really hope we will get to read Roxy and James' story in the future. With plenty of laughs and tears, steamy romance and true friendship, SUNSET IN CENTRAL PARK by Sarah Morgan is a perfect read.
