Release Date - 14th June 2016* Book Length - 336 pages Available on - www.amazon.com | www.amazon.co.uk On a country road on the way to visit her friend, Ellie Hesketh was involved in an accident that would have a serious impact on her life. For on that night, she felt a connection with her rescuer, a stranger named Will, and she also discovered that her long-term boyfriend, Robbie, was not who she thought he was. Now, one year later, Ellie has arrived back in the countryside, jobless and homeless - well house-sitting an old house that belongs to her closest friends. Hoping to gain some perspective and figure out what she really wants to do with her life, Ellie is shocked to discover that her dilapidated home is part of Rowan Hill Estate, with a mysterious owner who keeps himself to himself. But when she comes face to face with her hero from the accident, life becomes a lot more interesting...and complicated. Will McLennan is new to his Lord of the Manor status and prefers to remain in solitude, disconnected from village life and all of those involved in it. But with straight-talking Ellie, Will feels his well-constructed walls begin to crumble away. With the arrival home of his brother Finn, and his strong feelings for Ellie, he feels a new lease of life and a lightness enter his dreary world. And Ellie cannot help but feel their connection too. However, strange rumours are circulating about Will, and something doesn't quite add up. Beneath the grumpy exterior Will has a haunted past that he struggles to deal with - a secret that weighs heavily on him. With new friendships, a bustling village community, and a project to change all of their lives, can Will trust Ellie with the truth? And can love conquer all in this beautiful place?
LETTING IN LIGHT by Emma Davies is a heartwarming tale of acceptance, family, and the meaning of love. Ellie is plagued with self-doubt ever since she discovered the truth about her good for nothing ex. But here, in Rowan Hill, she starts to find peace, and as her feelings grow for Will, she also finds a place to belong. Will is a character full of emotion and depth. His strength and determination gave him a special place in my heart, throughout this story. The author effortlessly transported me to the village and the surrounding countryside with stunning descriptive imagery. The secondary characters in this novel are equally delightful and fascinating, and I hope to someday read more from this charming setting. LETTING IN LIGHT by Emma Davies combines a tale of loss and hurt, with hope and love, and I highly recommend it to everyone. BOOK RATING - 📖📖📖📖 4+ Author Bio: For years Emma was a finance manager who spent her days looking at numbers, so at night she would throw them away and play with words. She now writes in all the gaps between real life.
