Release Date - 13th June 2016*** Book Length - 172 pages Available on - www.amazon.com www.amazon.co.uk Aidan Ross is a man who likes to be in control. A distinguished military man, he is now the owner of his own successful engineering company, which is growing in leaps and bounds. Preferring solitude, he lets his right-hand man, Harold, deal with the clients and the social element of this business. On occasion, he is forced to come into the office, and today is one of those days. Picking up Harold and travelling to an important trade show shouldn't take too long considering he has everything meticulously planned. But when fate steps in and Aidan finds himself travelling with Delaney, an engineer that works for him, maybe it is time for him to loosen his reins of control and take a chance. As someone who dreams of writing the next big thing, I completely understand the stress of making enough time for my own writing. But even harder than making the time, is the worry of sitting at your desk and finding your inspiration has decided to disappear for the day. Or maybe you are at the point where you have completed your first draft and are filled with horror at the thought of the next step in the process - the rewrite. Never fear! Like most things in life, writing is a process, and while every writer will have their own individual techniques and tricks to get them to the next stage, there are some commonalities that are universal - one of which is that sometimes you need to leave your desk and look at things from a new perspective. And 52 DATES FOR WRITERS - RIDE A TANDEM, ASSUME AN ALIAS, AND 50 OTHER WAYS TO IMPROVE YOUR NOVEL DRAFT by Claire Wingfield, is the perfect reference book for writers at every stage of their writing.
Lizzie has always been considered the reckless one in the family, the complete opposite of her twin brother Luke. While growing up she had definitely tested the patience of her parents, and even now in her thirties, Lizzie is still considered the wild card. But when she dumps her long-term boyfriend Simon, a firm favourite with her mum and dad, and becomes embroiled in a love affair with Curt, a married man, even her parents are shocked. And when her choices result in her losing her job, and moving back home to Suffolk to live with her parents, it really is a turning point for everyone.
DATE: Saturday 9th July 2016 VENUE: 37 Bar on Dawson Street, Dublin City TIME: 12pm - 5pm I want to let everyone know about an exciting event which is happening in Dublin on Saturday 9th July at 12pm. Organised by myself, and two extremely talented ladies, Carmel Harrington and Debbie Johnston, this is one for the diary.
What could be better than chatting about books with fellow bookworms and authors, in the beautiful surroundings of 37 on Dawson Street, And just to add more charm to the event we are also having a 'Blind date with a book" element to the day, asking everyone to wrap up one of their favourite books, and write a few words on the front to describe it - but don't say too much! All those that leave a book, get to take a book home with them. Hopefully this event will be a great success and become a yearly tradition, so if you are a lover of all things book-related, I really hope to see you there! |
